I guess I'd class my self as an intermediate player. I've been playing a few years, people compliment my playing etc. But I'm certainly humble enough to know there's alot more to learn (isn't there always more?).
I'd say my most of my learning on bass has been self taught supplemented by many bass instruction books and observing and emulating many of my bass heroes. I've gotten better over the years but some techniques I've been hitting a wall with by myself such as "proper" slap/taping techniques ( I can wing it : ) . I'm also into melodic chording stuff that doesn't seem to be covered in many books in detail. I feel having someone just show me would be the best way to approach this. Still I'm having a hard time finding an instructor that is capable of teaching these things (I'm in northern KY near cincinati if any happen to read this : ).
So any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
