: : I would welcome input from the guys who are using minimal effects and the boxes they use. I would like to find an inexpensive devise to use on the job that would give me verb, phase shifting, octave below doubling, etc. Is there a nice reliable unit that doesn't cost $500. Let me know what you're using. Thanks.

: : Hey, I usually just go with those boss boxes, they are pretty reliable. But recently I needed some more fx for something, so I bought this little KORG AX-1 thing. I'm takin it back tomorrow though. Even for only 140 dollars, it's noisy, not really good choice of fx, etc...
: So for a good price, i'm just stickin with the little boxes until I can save up for some kind of rack mounted system. Peace.

I bought the KORG BX-1B a little more than a year ago it is an excellent piece of equipment. True a rack mount system is THE way to go, but for a good price you can do alot with the KORG & it's not all that noisy!
