: What scale can be used while a minor 7th chord is being played?

: thanks
Where are you using a minor seventh chord in this progression? In more jazz oriented blues changes you use the ii7 chord(F#-7 in your key) or the ii7 of IV (B-7)or a myriad of other substitutions. In a I -IV- V blues, you don't generally hit a minor chord at all. Maybe the vi7.
Anyway, you don't want to look at the chord in isolation (a minor 7 chord), you want to look at the chord in a couple of ways:
1.harmonic function (what does it resolve to)
2."melodic"direction of your line
Plus it's gonna be a good idea to work on exercise to get the sound of the harmony for specific chords well in your ears; knowing the notes matters less than hearing how they function.
