: Hi. I'm looking for bass teachers in NY. Expecially in Brooklyn or NYC. If Anybody knows a website where I can find some teachers or know any teacher in NY, please let me know. THANKS

Chris, you don't really say what style you are looking for. If you are at all interested in jazz I would HIGHLY recommend my teacher, Joe Solomon. If you want to check out his philosophy, there is an article at the board talkbass.com under GUEST ARTICLES (Doing it the Slow Way-Joe Solomon) where he pretty much lays it out. I am a semi pro jazz bassist in NYC and I feel that I have made much more substantial progress in the last four years studying with Joe than in all the time previously. If you want to give him a call, his studio number is 212-741-2839.
