Thanks in advance! My question is:

Q: How would I convert a piano piece (bass clef part) to play with bass? Or
alternatively, since the guitar chords are shown should I just play the tonic
or root notes?

Background: I have purchased, maybe wrongly, a couple music books that were
written for piano, vocal and guitar. Since the bass clef is written for piano I
have now have the challenge of converting it for bass play. I assume that one
approach is to play the root or tonic notes of the guitar chords indicated.

I'm novice player that is concentrating on slow ballads, like Fiona Apple's
songs "Slow Like Honey" or "Love Ridden".

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Denys
