: I own an Ibanez SR505 w/active electronics. I am looking for a nice light, bright strings. Any suggestion. Presently have heavy gauge strings and they suck.No brightness at all. I have GHS Bass Boomers (med/light) on my Fender Jazz. Nice and bright. Would that also be a good choice for my Ibanez?

Dave,

I've been using Dean Markley SR 2000 LIGHT GAUGE Strings. They're a nice light gauge 44 60 89 98 125 with a very responsive touch.
They give you a tremendous amount of sustain, too!

Only problem is that they're very hard to find and a little on the expensive side, but it's worth the effort of tracking down a set.

Good Luck,

Rob
