Yes, but waxing over the slots will not be
enough. You will have to fill them with
something harder; people use different substances. Examples: Glue, impregnated with
wood dust that matches your neck wood...
(rosewood? maple?) Epoxy, but get a custom
color at a car body shop? I hope its not
your favorite bass... Buying a Squire Fretless
for $200 makes more sense, but, have fun!!
