: : : : I found website that sells Steinberger basses for
: : $229.00 . Hard Maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Is
: : this a good deal? Opinions WOULD be appreciated.
: : : Need more information. Are they used? What's the URL?
: : Are these Steinbergers, or Cort headless basses (with some
: : parts liscensed by Steinberger)? Something doesn't seem
: : exactly right here, but that's just MY opinion...
: : No, they're new. I sent them an e-mail and they assured me
: : it was on the up and up. I don't know though. It's at
: : MusicYo.com. Tell me what you think.
: I visited the web site, "http://www.musicyo.com" and have to say that even though, the graphics were impressive, as were the prices, that's where my excitement stopped. For instance, the company/guy/whatever refuses to give a customer service number so he "doesn't have to have a bunch of guys running around answering phones all the time". Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Think that could be a problem? I sure do. The web site states that all ordering is done via the Internet and apparently, the customer service as well. That S-U-C-K-S! The company/guy/whatever doesn't state it/he/whatever is a member of the BBB or any other industry or trade organizations, either. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. It could be it/he/whatever is on the up-and-up, but if so, there are many other questions yet to be answered before I give any credit card numbers out via that web site. Just my two cents -
......I don't have an opinion on the company but, I saw an ad for musicyo.com in the back of bass player magazine. It was an impressive looking ad 1/2 page. It's in the issue with Sting on the cover.
