: well, i know of an old WAL bass that had nine strings, but it was a three string bass with two octave strings on each main string.(actually it may have been a one of a kind)(it is currently owned by chris squire)as for current production basses , i think you pretty much named them all......late.

thank you very much for your answer. for some fun go visit if you're not went already . there's many links to bass dealers site and i'm sure you'll find some beautiful babies like the double-neck (a fretted and a fretless) 7 strings collection bass guitar that i can't find anymore but how care!
