Actually i think you're right! I check on the site and they were not in the festival! That what happens when you listen t.v. too much you can remember anything, but thank u for the answer!

: I suppose it's Roy "Future Man" Wooten (Yes, Vic's older brother) from Bela Fleck & the Flecktones you saw. The instrument he plays is his "Synhaxe Drumitar", an instrument he has built all by himself and, apparently, is the only example of it in the world. It's a programmable instrument, every button on the instrument triggers a sampled drum sound, or any other sound for that part, and he can program just which button should trigger what sound, from one show to another. Check out any Cd with Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, the band features "Futch", Bela Fleck (banjo), Victor Wooten (bassgod) and Jeff Coffin (saxophone and other things you can blow through to make a noise).

: Didn't know they were in Montreal and played, if I knew, I would have been there.

: ...Stinko Stanko...

: ---------------

: : I see a report of the International Jazz fest in Montreal on tv last week and there was a guy with a curious instrument. It look like a guitar but there was little colored circles instead of frets and it was a drum synth. but the sound was very clean. can u tell me where i can find that thing?
