: I'm interested in playing a bass guitar, but i really have no clue on how to play it..the proper way to hold it, and many other things.. If anybody could recomend a site that has a lot of info for beginners like myself I would greatly appreciate it! Or better yet if someone out there can give me a few pointers now, that would also be great! thanx!

Hey Will,
I'd say your best bet would be to find a good teacher in your area. Though many bassists, including myself, choose to be self-taught, it is much more effecient to learn with a good teacher. Also, you may want to just listen and learn from some of the great bassists out there -- from Flea to Jaco, I"m sure you will be able to find someone to latch on to. As far as sites go, try the "Bass Tab Archive". They're awesome. They have lessons on tapping, slapping, etc, along with tabs on almost any song you could think of.
Lastly, just practice, practice, practice and have fun!!!!
Rock on,
st'acey
