Re: Dean or Fender? I own a fender U.S. deluxe V . I am 40 years old and have owned many, many , basses. The difference between the best and the worst is 20% . The Fender V took some geting used to , but it's a bass worthy of the effort. What I like about the Fender is that it's a Jazz, believe me , You'll never need anything else. It's really nice to have a Precision , a Dano , a Warick, a Music Man. But if you can't cut it on a Jazz ( everyone's been there.)it's not the bass that's to blame. You have to tame it (especialy the 5). The Jazz is vanila. The only place to start. Anything else is just flavours. Sample at your liesure. "Bon Voyage" . Ian.
