: : Does anyone heard about palm muting on bassguitar?
: : How do you do that without shattering your hands? :?¿?¿
: Qué tal Alfonso!!
: OK, let's keep this conversation in English for the interest of the other fine folks who hang around here.
: While everyone has his/her own way of palm muting, the technique I found most succesful in terms of tone and safety of the right hand is simply applying a little pressure with the side of the right hand on the strings, at a very short distance of where the strings contact the bridge saddles. This serves well as long as you pluck the strings with your right thumb or with a plectrum. Playing fingerstyle with this plam muting technique is harder, ans it takes a lot of practice, but it definitely can be be done.
: Hope this helped,
