: : What are peoples opinions of graphtie neck basses? I own a status energy which has a neck made completely of graphite. I think it adds a real nice clean 'hi fi' tone. It also requires minimum adjustment, and copes better with climate changes. Just interested in others opinions

: : Thanks

: Yo Dale!

: I have a Modulus Vintage J, which as name implies is a J bass copy with active Barts and a graphite neck.. action is clean and low with no fret buzz, and the neck is as you would expect it...straight as an arrow... It's a great bass,Even thugh I am a "charter" Fender Fan, this does it well!. Otherwise I'd have to agree with about everything you said

Hi there people,
Allright I agree with what's been said here. I own a bass pretty much similar to Tim's (only difference is I upgraded the electronics with an AC-1 Moon preamp) and I can't be any happier with it. Great tone, great feel, a hi-fi vibe and a neck that won't twist or warp even under the most deplorable weather conditions. I live in an area of rather drastic humidity changes, so only I know how much I suffered with my previous basses.
Buena suerte and keep that bass up front in the mix,
El Pájaro
