: : : What are peoples opinions of graphtie neck basses? I own a status energy which has a neck made completely of graphite. I think it adds a real nice clean 'hi fi' tone. It also requires minimum adjustment, and copes better with climate changes. Just interested in others opinions

: Hi there people,
: Allright I agree with what's been said here. I own a bass pretty much similar to Tim's (only difference is I upgraded the electronics with an AC-1 Moon preamp) and I can't be any happier with it. Great tone, great feel, a hi-fi vibe and a neck that won't twist or warp even under the most deplorable weather conditions. I live in an area of rather drastic humidity changes, so only I know how much I suffered with my previous basses.
: Buena suerte and keep that bass up front in the mix,

HEY EL!
If bad leads to worse and you find that graphite neck melting due to seamy conditions,
you might consider a funky old aluminum neck Kramer...HA!
