: i'm upgrading my amp setup and i'm looking into using carvin's equipement (the 1000 w/ an 18" and the 4x10") but i'm not thrilled about the idea of having to order it to try it. does anyone here use carvin and do you like them and why? ...also, what kind of sound are you getting? anyways, any advice is appreciated.

: p.s. any opinions on sunn's cabinets?

I have been using carvin amps for about 10 years. I first bought the little 10" 150W combo and was blown away by how tight and punchy it was.
Recently I purchased the R600 head for my ampeg 8x10 cab and recieved alot of compliments on my sound at clubs. Very crispy...clean. The
factory compession is top notch. The 600W is more than I need,(600W is alot) so the 1000W should be incredable! I have never been disapointed
with any of the carvin stuff i bought. the guality is fantastic, they have really improved from 15 years ago.
