: Yesterday I was jamming with my blues band when the guitarist said: "come on!. Make your solo!". And tried it but I don't get the correct feeling!!. Anyone knows songs with good blues bass solos or the way to do them?
: Thank you for your answers!. (Hey, El Pajaro; how is the hispanic site going?)
Qué tal amigo!
As a matter of fact, my teacher and I just happen to be dealing with this topic, so let me suggest something. I came across some cool ideas and sounds by improvising with:
1) using a single minor pentatonic scale over the entire progression (if it's an F blues, then it will be F minor perntatonic).
2) using each major pentatonic scale over each corresponding chord of the progression (F over F7, Bb over Bb7, etc.)
3) using a single "blues scale" over the entire progression.
4) a combination of all of the above and dropping some tried and true "blues licks" here and there for flavor.
As far as my site goes, check your mailbox!!! Buena suerte and keep all of your basses way up front in the mix,
