: I currently own a Fender BXR 100 amp.I'am thinking of selling it,and getting something better.I'm stuck between a Carvin PB200-15,or an SWR workingmans 15.I realize that it is ultimately up to me to decide, but since Carvin amps are mail order only,I thought maybe someone could offer some insight.Thank you all for any help you may give.
Hey...I've been in the market for a powerful combo amp for about a month now, and just this morning won an auction for a Roland DB-500. As to the two amps your looking at...well, I've personally played both, and they both live up to their reputations...Good for SWR, Not so good for Carvin. Carvins tend to have great speakers and cabs, but their power ratings are often very inflated. The tone is not what was expected from an amp of this price...The SWR, on the otherhand, blew me away. Amazing volume, great tone, easy controls, DI, small, you name it...an altogether great amp for the price. Hope this helps, and I'll keep you guys updated on the DB-500
