: Im about 80% sure that i want a 5 string. Some of you said the 5th string doesnt sound as nice. well i head this one song that used the 5th string and i really liked how low it was. if this is what you are talking about, that sound shouldn't be a problem, but anyway, if you could be so kind, please tell me the
: Pros and Cons of a 5 string. Thanks! You guys are awesome! i would have never been able to get this far with out you!

Sounds like you are getting closer to a decision.....good luck. Like i said before, start with a five string and you will never know the difference.....until that fateful day when
the only thing around is a four string and you find yourself strangly attracted to it....drawn to the pure simple sweet sound that a four string is.....but, i digress,. just make sure you take the time
to listen to the 34" and 35" scale lengths, i know you will find the 35" scale to be much tighter, more punchy. However! dont be shocked when you are asked to cough up quite a bit of money for a quality
35"...most 500. and under manufacturers dont make em. look long and hard...you will know when THE bass that is meant to be yours comes into contact with your fingers. the search is on, you know what you want,
now go out and get it!....late..........john
