Well, I think that evrything is said but I'll try to show mi viewpoint...
The best pro of a 5-string (I think) is that you have more low range to play with. That is a very nice thing if you know how to use that five notes.
I mean; if we want to end the show on the stage and not escaping from the audience is better not to abuse of the B-string.
The B-string is awesome to give weight to your line in a DETERMINED moment, not always; if we made lines too based on the B-string we'll sound horrible. Believe me, it sounds great if you play the less on it; it sounds ugly if you live in the B-string!!.
Anyway; I played for five years with a four string and I'm beggining to miss a B-string (but I think I could wait two or three years more...)
