: Alright. Can somebody please explain this to me? I've been looking around for a new bass amp, and I see 8x10's, 4x10's, 2x10's, 2x15's, 1x15's, 1x18's, 1x15 combos, 2x10 combos, 1x12 combos, but not a single 4x12 or 2x12 for bass. They're everywhere for guitar, but seem non-existant for bass. Why? is it just too big of a cab to drive? (surely not, with 1200 watt heads lurking) Is it because they just don't have a nice sound (I've heard some awesome 12's, so I don't think it's that) Are they too hard to tune in the range for bass? What? I've seen guitar cabs used for bass (seen, not heard) and heard tell that they sound just fine. Why is it that no amp manufacturer makes a bass 4x12?
: Help me out here!!!!!!
I have a 4x12 (& a 1x18) cabinet I bought from Carvin about 16 years ago. They sound great and are still going strong!!! But, you're right, at least Carvin doesn't sell the 4x12 setup anymore.
