: It's NOT misinformation Kenny; it's shared experience! I'm sure that I would be able to get a 5-string I like for a few grand, but in the price range I was looking in, the 5-strings were just not happening. A buddy bought one a year ago.... that B-string still gets in his way, and the narrower string spacing makes slap that much more difficult.

: To slap a "misinformation" label on opinions that don't agree w/ your own is misinformation! LOL Your opinion is as valid as anyone else's; conversely, please respect others' opinions enough to not dismiss them as "misinformation".

: : I have to say that I'm really surprised at alot of the misinformation given in the thread labeled "5 string pros and cons". I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just read alot of things that just don't ring true in my ears.

Hey Glen,
I beg to differ a little bit. I tried to only address the issues that were stated as facts rather than opinion, and if you read my post again I tried not to give to much opinion either. I really would not dis someone's "opinion". Things were stated to the effect that "strings are to close together"/ "B strings are sloppy"/ "a thicker string would bring more tension", and these things just are not exactly true and are not exactly informed advice for someone who does not know much.(referring to the original post) And I really wanted to point out some things about 5's that no one mentioned. Meant no harm just tryin to help.
