: Hey everybody- I'm going to begin electric bass. I'm thinking about getting the Squire pack- with the Squire P-bass, BP-15 amp, cord, gig bag and a video. I just want something that I can easily learn on, but also something that actually has value. Please let me know if you had any experience with Squire's generally, or the package.
: Thanks a bunch

Hello Bassgal
I don't have much experience with the package itself but I have played and known the squire pbass. There are lots of ways you could start out on bass or any instrument for that matter. Which way you go would depend on you and your wallet. The money that the package costs is quite harmless in terms of the road you are about to walk. What I mean is that, even you of you decide you don't want to later.....you've spent a small amout of money and could unload the bass for a few dollars to someone else who is starting out. The squire is a decent bass for the money and also a good one to learn on. The only trick here is that if ya do like it and progress a bit....in a year you will be looking for another bass. Not that there is anything wrong with the squire, but it is what it is........a starter bass. Sounds like an ok deal to me......for a small amount of money ya get everything you need to play. I won't go into the other options unless you ask.....they would require a slightly larger price tag. Good luck.......peace Kenny
