: Hey...I haven't had the priviledge to use any of the roland stuff, other than my amp, the DB-500. I Do know that ART makes some really awesome elecrtronics geared specifically toward bass...th e ART NIghtbass SE is one HELL of an effects processor! It has complete MIDI implementation, and If you know what you're doing, is so versatile it'll blow your mind. That's my two cents.
