: Hey everybody- I'm going to begin electric bass. I'm thinking about getting the Squire pack- with the Squire P-bass, BP-15 amp, cord, gig bag and a video. I just want something that I can easily learn on, but also something that actually has value. Please let me know if you had any experience with Squire's generally, or the package.
: Thanks a bunch

Bassgal--
The squire P-bass is a nice beginner's bass, but you're probably going to end up getting new equipment for it down the road. The stuff packages like that comes with tend to be not-so-hot. I mean, ok for just fiddling around in your room, but if you want to start taking lessons, or perhaps join a band sometime, you're going to end up wanting new stuff. My advice would be to get the package if you want bass and all the fixin's NOW, and can't wait. But, if you are patient and shop around a bit, I'm sure you can find a nicer amp for the p-bass. Email me if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you :)
