I'm not sure about the left-hand slapping, but a paradiddle is a drum term meaning one note receives two beats and the other note, usually an octave, receives one beat. c c (c) c c (c) c c (c). Another way to do it is like thid: (c) c (c) (c) c (c) c c. I hope this is understandable.
