: Hello everybody! There are so many cool people that post on this site,i'd like to ask you all something.
: I play bass for one reason:i love it so!Being able to express your musical voice, and seeing people enjoy it,is just about the best thing there is.Have you guys ever noticed that there seems to be a lot of bad mouthing, and conceitedness in the music world? The "i'm better than you,and the you suck attitude"seems to preveil, sadly, way way too much.
: If more people truly played for the love of it,and learned to stick together(cause sometimes this business can suck),i think we would all be better off.
: Well,to all my bass playing brothers, peace.I would eventually like to sit down with other bassists, like guitar players always do!Let you all now how it goes.
: Lets all keep the faith, and keep groovin'!!

AMEN! I actually got a chance to sit down with a couple of other bassists, one quite talented, and talk shop and jam for a few hours...it was pure bliss. I mean, being able to talk to someone about the most intricate details of bassdom, and have them ubderstand it, is awesome. Has anyone else tried three part harmonies and such with basses? IT RULES! the amount of pure groove and variety multiple basses gave us (playing with a great pianist) such an awesome sound, I am very tempted to try and get another bassist for our band! Anyone and Everyone out there should try this at least once...
Keep it real and Low...
Deman
