: Greetings-

: I've been out of the loop for awhile and am getting back into playing after
: selling my bass ('76 Fender Jazz) and amp (VT combo 200W w/2x15 Celestion cab.)
: I ran through alot of basses and finally chose an Ibanex sr405nt, which I thought
: was the best over-all bass for the money. I only know that I want an 18" cab for
: the low B response. I'm thinking about just running another 2x15 cab again and
: use the 18" in tandem. I'll be playing original stuff, from blues shuffles to
: Badfinger-esque Pop to drop D ala; Deftones. Of course, I want the best for
: the money, knowing that it's easy to spend a fortune. Any recs. on amp and cabs?
: Thanks everyone!

Greetings right back at-ya. A nice set up for that 5er might be a bi-amp system. Some 10's for the highs and that fat old bad ass 18 for those lows....yea.....i can feel the floor-a-movin right now! Personally, I like Carvin. I have used the Ghallen-Kruger 800RB and THAT was nice. You couldnt really go wrong with the Ampeg SVT Pro IV. well, good luck...happy hunting......late.....john
