: Has anyone got any ideas or comments on what to do about the WAVEY, pulsating sound sound that the B string produces on my Stingray 5. It sounds like the string is to loose but it's very taught. I've changed the string and the battery. It dosn't sound as bad when I use a pick as it dose when I play with fingers because of the more defined signal. Thank you.

I can't tell you how to fix it, but I can tell you that such a thing is not characteristic of the bass. I've had several stingray5's and the b string on all of them was perfect. No sloppy sound, no waves, and very responsive when finger picking. Is it new?
