5-string tension

This question may be kind of stupid, but I'm gonna ask it anyway. I recently
switched from a Peavey Milestone II 4-string to a Samick 5-string, and I've
noticed that the strings on the Samick seem to be looser. I've only changed the
strings on the 5 once, and I used GHS Boomers (045,065,085,105,130). I'm not
sure what kind came with the bass, but both sets look and feel identical. The
last set of strings I used on the Peavey said on the package that they were nickel-
wounds made by Peavey, and the guages were (047,068,083,108). I've never been able
to find another set of strings like this (4 OR 5-string), but I've used SIT strings
on the 4-string too, and they had the same tension (don't remember the guages on those).
Both basses are 34" scale. The GHS strings were the heaviest guages I could find
(which I assume would mean more tension), but they still feel loose and sound a little
twangy. I was wondering if anyone has had any problem like this before. I don't know
if I should buy a different type (steel, etc.) or what. I appreciate any help.
