: Hey there boys & girls,
: A few days ago, Alfonso posted a message (which was warmly echoed by some of us) about how a nice feeling of brotherhood reigns in this board, and about how great it would be if we all could actually meet.
: Considering the fact that some of us live in pretty distant corners of the world, the chances of actually meeting seem quite slim indeed, but I think there's still a chance we can check out each other's playing. Here it goes:
: If you have any of your playing MP3ed, it would be a great idea to pick a free URL domain where we all can upload the MP3 files. That way, we can actually listen to each other!
: Now, most of you own a computer, so there's no excuse for not having an MP3 file of your work. It's not difficult to do some home recording in a computer system, neither it is to make MP3 files out of sound files (I'm the least techno geek you can think of, yet I learned how to do it, so anybody can). If you have any doubts about this, email me off list and I'll help you out.
: Allright gang this was just a thought. I think it's a good idea, so think about it. Buena suerte and keep those basses way up front in the mix,

El Pajaro- great idea, i'd love to hear the playing of some of the people i see posting here. a quick question for you about the actual process of recording my bass to my computer. i have a sound blaster live! pci card and it has an 1/8" audio in, but i have a feeling i should do more than run my bass through an 1/4 to 1/8 adapter and into the card. should i run it through a mixer first (i don't own one, but i could borrow) or is there an easier way? thanks for the help.
