: Hey there;
: Last night I went to a show wit my blues trio and it was the worst thing that I have ever heard in my life. There was so many errors and we had to stop in a song because a misconection beetwen the guitar and I. And (if it wasn't enough; I force my right wrist so much that today I've another tendinite...)
: After this I felt so depressed; I mean, I'm finding that I'm not as good as I could be and I think that doesn't matter how many hours a day I practice; I learn nothing...
: I just wanted you to know. Who knows, maybe anybody has felt in that way before and has something to say... (or maybe not...)
: Anyway; thanks (as always) and PaZ
Hey waz up man.......sorry to hear about your bad night, that must suck. NOT that I havn't been through a few train wrecks myself. But, I'm hearing something more than a bad night here. You say that no matter how much you practice you "learn" nothing. Some players are happy with what they do and how they play, but there are lots of players who get bored and feel trapped in what they are doing. All the practice in the world won't solve this alone. In my experiences, what you are listening to can play a big role. Listening to the same stuff for extended periods of time will dull your "ears". Depending on your level of playing, a short trip with a good teacher could do you wonders as well. Even though I studied with a teacher for many years....every once in a while I go back to get a few kicks in the ass by an old pro. It sounds to me like you need someone or something to challenge you a bit......good luck...hope this helps a little.......
