: Hey everybody....
: I just read in the latest edition of Bass Player magazine,that Allen Woody is dead.I believe that the details are still a bit sketchy,but i was wondering if anybody out there has any more details.Just hard to believe,the guy was only 45 years old.
: Gee,the year 2000 hasn't been the greatest one,as far as losing bass players goes.Benjamin Orr,Bobby Sheehan of Blues traveler have died,and the bass player from Iron Butterfly-his remains were found earlier this year.
: I believe that everything happens for a reason,but lets hope that we don't lose anymore bassists before their time(it was bad enough when it happened to Jaco.)
: Well,thanks for letting me say my peace.May we ALL stay healthy,and keep on groovin'(hopefully FOREVER!!}
>>>> Yeah, losing those guys is a tragedy, The current issue of
"VINTAGE GUITAR" has a pretty good write-up about Woody's
passing; not much as to the actual event, but more so
about his all too short life, his accomplishments and
rememberances by the so many people he touched through
his all too short life..I've met many famous bassists,
but never Woody or Ben Orr, but I have a short VHS tape
of one of Woody's instructional videos, he was a good dude..
Rest in eternal peace bass brothers...
