Hello!
Well, slapping with you left hand is simply when you damp the strings enough hard to get that percussive click.
Try this a simlpe exercise: Slap with your right thumb on the E- string, damp it with your left hand so you get the click,
slap the E-string once again but keep your left on the fretboard to damp the strings and finally
pluck the G-string, still damped. Repeat this pattern over and over again.
This is a basic motion, but you can alter a lot to it. After a while you may find out other types of patterns
to work with so you´re free to experimise.
