Good replies on this one, but I'd like to add, that you have to be aware that your right hand can follow when the left hand gains speed. IOW: You have to get used to plucking with right and fretting with left hand EXACTLY at the same point... To practice this to perfection, put your metronome on the lowest tempo, and play just one note per beat (this makes good timing, too...). Stay on the same note to start with, then try some scales, just to make your left hand fingers work as independent from eachother as possible, even though your koncentrating on the beat... Often when you move one finger, another one will just often automatically move too. So, work this out, then you raise the beat, f.ex one beat a day. Take your time, in about 100 days you will do great (if this world were perfect...). Good luck! Rudy
