: I feel as though I've asked to many questions as it is but I need to know just this last one and then I can start helping others. Ok, as stated in my title, what is a good inexpensive bass amp? I don't how much I can spend on it seeing that once I get the bass I want I'll be down to $40, but since my parents are nice enough to lend me what I need, and I can pay them back since I work, I don't think I have to be too stingy on price. So, how much more will something good but low cost put me into the proverbial pit of debt? If anyone can spare the moment to answer I'll be ever so appreciative. Thank you for your time.

O.K., well since money seems to be of the utmost importance as far as not spending a whole lot, I think you gotta go with carvin on this one. Check em out at Carvin.com. For the dough, they are the best. you buy em direct so you dont pay a whole lotta mark up. You are looking at about 299. for a PB-100, and that is a good amp. But as usual, go to the store and check out the Fenders, and Crates, and Gorillas, and such. Gee its really too bad you can't check out the carvins. oh well. good luck. john
