: I'm just looking for a cheap bass amp and these I've found second hand for good prices on each. From what I can guess almost anything Fender is good so I am assuming that these amps are worthwhile to buy. Are my assumtions right?
Hey Albert in a tin,
The fisrt amp I don't recognize, but the second one I believe
is one of Fender's amps from the series just preceding the new Bassman series,of
which I own one.I recently bought a Fender Bassman 60 and it's great. It has all
the power you need up to a dealing with a loud drummer.Fender was always pretty
straight forward with their amp number designations so,I assume the Frontman
is 15 watts, the Sidekick 35 watts. To give you an idea of prices,a brand new
Fender Bassman 25 is $259.00 average price so,depending what prices you can
get used,if it seems good,go for it.I've never heard a bad sounding Fender amp,it's just that some sound better than others. If you see any Hartke amps,
jump on them.I've tried about four different ones and they all sounded great.
Come back after you buy,let us know what you got.
