: When I play, I often get quite a lot of finger noise when moving to a different fret. This happens when I take my finger off, and then back on to the string producing the scraping noise from sliding fingers.

: I have found I can remove a lot of this sound with EQ. Is it OK to do this or should I try and learn not to do it?

: (I hope this is clear as I couldn't think of a better way to put it.)

: Richy.

Richy, unless you switch to flatwound strings you will never get rid of

All the noise.Have you ever listened to the best classical Spanish

guitarists? Even they have some finger noise. It's caused by you finger

not being able to completely release the sting(roundwound)before it

starts moving to a new position.Unless we all start moving like people

in "The Matrix", the noise is here to stay.
