Hey there,
Nothing will happen to the bass, and there's a great chance nothing will happen to the amp either. The active input of some amps (comonly padded at -2 to -10 dB) is meant for the amp to best "tame" the hot signal of some very hot active basses. I encourage you to experiment with them, since you may find you like the sound of the active bass plugged into the passive input better.
