: I've heard that boiling strings in vinegar will restore their brightness and help them last longer. is this true? anyone have any experience doing this out there? i'd like to know. if you don't mind, reply with the details on how to do this. thanks

Well, I use to clean my strings always after playing with a small rag and a string cleaner of D'addario, but , by the way , I've reached the conclussion that cleaning strings doesn't make you avoid to purchasing new ones!!. Remember to wash your hands ALWAYS before playing (and before eating, mum said that...) and in live shows use a rag or a small towel to dry the strings because of your own "liquids" (yeah, a beer is a liquid too...). See you!
