Hi Nass.

O.K. If you're not that familiar with bass amps, the best advise I can give you
is: Go to clubs and see what the bass players there are using. Most musicians
will be happy to tell you what they truly think about their equipment good
or bad.To me, there's no one "best amp", and I think everyone on this page
will agree with that.I personally like Fender,Hartke and Gallien-Krueger,
but there's about another dozen or so brands I like.Another important point
is what's redily available in Brazil where you live. What's your budget?
If you want to play punk, I'd suggest getting at least 100 watts and a
2x15 or a 4x10 bottom, but as I said, talk to some musicians/friends,
check your money situation and see what's available.Try to listen to at
least 3 different amps before you buy, more if possible. You have to form
opinions about what sounds you like; deep and mellow, tight and punchy
before you make a purchase.Like I tell everyone, take your time. The longer
you take to decide before you buy, the happier you'll probably be with what
you buy.

Hope this helped,
The Mickster

P.S. Brazilian Jazz is one of my favorites. Some of your guys I like are:
Djavan,Milton Nascimiento and to me, one of the best musicians in the world,
Sergio Mendes.Ciao
