: : A friend is offering me his P-bass for $200 ($100 for the case + $100
: : for the new P/U's) I'm a little disappointed in him that he put new ones in.
: : I am a big fan of the fender sound and can't wait to get the old P/U's back in there.

: : Question: How do I know what model/year it is and where it was manufactured?
: : Fender's P-basses range in the deluxe/standard/lyte/etc...
: : He got the bass for free which is a good indicator that it's a mexican one, but
: : what if I'm lucky and it's not!! Wouldn't that be great?!?!? :)

: I bought a Mexi Fender Pbass Special (Jazz PU at the bridge, Pbass pickup at the neck) and it is a dream! Don't look down on it because it is a Mexi version. IMO, that just means I save a few dollars. BTW - 200 bucks is a good price if its in decent condition!

Howdy all,

I got the p-bass over the weekend and I love it. However, it's got a pesky little
rattle when I slap the E. It's the (E)spring on the bridge that's making the noise.
Can anyone reccommend a replacement bridge for the p-bass?? Is there a way to correct
without replacement??
