Hey there Emptyeye,what's up?

It's good to meet another Ibanez fan.As for their fretless basses, go to
www.Ibanez.com.Their whole line is there.I'm not sure about model numbers,
but they make at least one fretless in every model category, and there's
about six or seven categories. As far as the amps go, Ive been checking
out alot of stuff lately both in catalogs and in person. For $759.00 Carvin
(strictly mail order)makes a 600 watt combo with 2 10 inch speakers and a
horn tweeter. If you'd asked two weeks ago how it sounds, I would have to
have said,"I don't know", but recently I was at a club near my house, and
the bass player had a Carvin amp, and a Carvin 5 string bass. They both sounded
very good, though club conditions aren't the optimum for checking out equip-
ment. Also, go to Sam Ash.com and check out their amp section. There's a few
Hartke amps in your price range.A custom bass? If you have the bread go for
it.As Mr.Spock once said "Having is sometimes not so pleasing as wanting",
meaning a custom bass is something worth wanting, but I wouldn't go into
debt over it.Just my opinion.Debt.Don't invite it over for dinner. It never
leaves. Then it climbs into bed with you.

Hope this was of 21.5% interest to you.
The Mickster
