: Hi, I'm just thinking buying a new bass to play gospel music.

Hey Ern,what's up? Ditto to what Datsgor said about Jazz Basses.A Church or auditorium, where Gospel's most likely to be played, would fall into the
category of medium to large sized room.Because of this, I think a bass with
a pickup near the bridge projects better than a bass without one, although
it's hard to beat the sound of a Precision recorded.Don't forget to look at
the Ibanez and Yamaha lines; whatever you're budget there's something there.
If you can afford about $1,400.00, check out Musicman Stingrays and Sterlings.
Spector as well. Also check out www.Samash.com .Also for their entire lines
go to www.Fender.com
www.Ibanez.com
www.Yamaha.com
www.Spector.com
www.Carvin.com
www.Gibson.com

Hope this helped, The Mickster
