: Hey all, I am going to buy another bass. I am really looking into a Jazz....What kind do you have, do you have any complaints? Not just Fender Jazzes, any kind. Especially you El Pajaro, the Modulas really intrigues me. Any input from anybody would be greatly appreciated........peace.........john

Hey John,

Check this out:

http://www.mpguitars.com/firstpage.html

This is Matt Pulcinella's site. He's a builder in Pennsylvania who builds the most wonderful, reasonably priced, 5 strings and high end Jazz Style 4 strings. I own a pretty huge collection of vintage & modern basses Fender through Tobias to a couple Hamer 12s, and I can say beyond a doubt that my Matt Pulcinella Level 5 five string bass is the finest instrument I've ever owned or played. I'm lucky enough to have access to quite a few cool instruments other than my own, and in shootouts I've done with bass playing pals, the Pulcinella bass is always a high ranking contender. Matt's a good guy-well informed and very competent. His site has lots of good reading about instruments and his opinion about them. The only drag is that when the rest of you guys find out about this guy, his prices will probably skyrocket, like Lakland..........

Good luck!

Milan
