: There's a soundgear in Sam Ash that is used and it has five strings and costs $299.......Opinions on soundgears anyone??
Okay, so we have a used bass. Ibanez Soungear. 5-strings. Costs $299.
Taking a look at my Musician's Friend catalog, they evidently don't offer a 305. This makes it (Most likely) one of two models: the SGR-205 (Essentially a student's 5-stringer), or the SR-405 (I play a 406 [Like the 405, except it has 6 strings] and like it alot, despite my intonating it without knowing what I was doing.). If it's the latter, then it's a damn good deal. If it's the former, you'd be better off spending an extra $20 and buying it new.
: oh yeah mr datsgor..I did get my band playing Ytse Jam by Dream Theater once, and we fooled around on Hallowed by Thy Name, Aces High and Phantom of th Opera, and I tried YYZ, but no one takes it seriously..waaa
Ah yes, progressive rock goodness....hope I find some people to hook up with and start a prog band. Oh! While on the subject of Dream Theater, has anyone had the chance to play the John Myung 6-string bass by Yamaha? How's it play? Would it be worth upgrading from my current Ibanez SR-406, taking into account I have Alysinthian(1) hands?
(1)- Short and chubby. Named after a girl I know, who is also short and chubby. :P
