Yeah, sorta. The CHANGES to a song is the same thing as the HARMONIC PROGRESSION to a song, that is the CHORDS in the order and rhythm that they are played from the start of the FORM to the end of the FORM (sometimes called the verse or chorus, depending on whether you are a pop or jazz player). The letters at the top, along with the notational symbols (M, m, 7 etc. -,)let you know precisely the harmony (but not the voicing)for the measure or beats that it's over.
