: Hello everyone.
: This is my first post here. I bought a bass 4 months ago. Finally i should say, since i've been thinking about it for ages. I've played guitar and drums for a little while, but somehow the bass has always been in the back of my mind. So like i said, in June 2000 i bought my first bass. It's Yamaha RBX 765A transparent blue (i don't know why i chose 5-string, just one of those things i guess...) and at the same time i bought Peavey Microbass for practise amp. I got a pretty good deal, i think. Practising has been hell at times, since i don't have the money for lessons at the moment. My techingue is horrible and knowledge of music theory long forgotten, but hell, i DO love the bass!
: Anyhow, there was a reason for this post. Like the topic suggests, what i would like you to do is to tell me some of your favorite band and artists. And i mean the bands or artists which you like because the way their bassplayer is playing. Bands that you could recommend to someone who listens pretty much everyting (rock, rnb, funk...). I don't like much about those "showoff" kind of players though, you know.. nothing else but extremely difficult lines. I appreciate their skills, but i wouldn't want to listen their music very long...
: It's always nice to hear new songs and new bands, so that's why i'm asking.
