: Hope you're all having a good christmas!
: So I'm writing because now I have my Bass I don't know how to look after it, I've heard little suggestions about oiling the strings and fretboard, or something like that, but no one sounds very convincing. So what do I have to do, if anything? And also, how should I keep it when I'm not playing it, which is not very often ;-) Right now I've kept it flat in it's bag.
: Thanks for any help.
>>> Hi Emma, What kind of bass did you get??
You can use a little lemon oil on the fingerboard
and the body, but I wouldn't put anything on the
strings, though; just wipe them down with a clean
cloth after you play, It'll extend the life of
the strings a bit...PS, When it comes time to
buy new strings, buy GOOD strings like Rotosounds
or D'addarios, & don't let the music store overcharge
you, I NEVER pay more than about 16-18$ a set...
