: Hello!
: Hope you're all having a good christmas!
: So I'm writing because now I have my Bass I don't know how to look after it, I've heard little suggestions about oiling the strings and fretboard, or something like that, but no one sounds very convincing. So what do I have to do, if anything? And also, how should I keep it when I'm not playing it, which is not very often ;-) Right now I've kept it flat in it's bag.
: Thanks for any help.

Hi Emma, Pat gave some good advice...here is some more......Keep your bass protected from drastic temperature changes like leaving it in your car or next to the window in your home. A good measure of when to apply the lemon oil, is just do it whenever you change your strings. Basses were ment to be strung up and played, so whenever you are not playing it, just leave it the way it is. On it's stand or flat is good. enjoy..........peace...........john
